I was going to go for a laser eye surgery consultation today. However Stew has come down with manflu and you are not allowed to drive after a consultation so I cancelled.

I went to the corner shop to get some stuff after work and shot this on the way back, all I did after was crop it a bit.  I have been trying to get a picture of he church at the end of my street but its just not very photogenic.

I am so excited for tomorrow, Dave Matthews Band!!!!  I hope Stew is feeling better!

Please leave a comment, so that I know you were actually here!!!!! Please!?

i was actually here. and i do hope your man gets of his manflu. ha. and dave matthews, yes please!

i was thinking back to all the great photographers i have worked with and i do remember one very consistent practice they all shared. taking a ridiculous number of pictures of the same thing. it was explained to me that to catch that beautiful moment in time, on film, you have to take a ridiculous amount of photos at any given “photo shoot” because those beautiful moments only last a second, at best, so make sure to capture them all. so when you go back and edit through your photos, you may have like 100 of the same subject but you know at least one of those shots will be simply breathtaking and you will have no idea how you captured that little microsecond of time.
give it a try… if you have a memory card that can handle it. peace.

Manflu is the condition shared by all males wherein a common illness (usually a mild cold) is presented by the patient as life-threatening.
This is also known as ‘Fishing for Sympathy’ or ‘Chronic Exaggeration’.

Very nice photo, Sarah. I love when scenes are framed with a lamppost.

I like this – the contrast of the "warm" lamp and the cool sky is great

    Something creepy about this picture…
Could imagine it in the Nightmare before Christmas or something!

Very nice … agree with the comments above that the contrast between the lamp and the evening sky really looks nice.
