GO CANADA GO!

Trixie knows what Olympic team to support!  Today I was meant to be at the Luge Men’s Singles – Runs 3 and 4 (Final) at The Whistler Sliding Centre but had to sell my tickets as I could not get home on time.  So we are getting ready to watch the event from the other side of the world.

I am very homesick.  I bawled my eyes out during the opening ceremonies when Rick Hansen entered the stadium with the torch and lost it completely watching Terry Fox’s mum carry the flag.  So emotional!

To all the people protesting, you have no idea how lucky you are to be home the witness the Olympics taking place in our city.  I would trade places with you any day.  It is not going anywhere, you tried, now it is time to enjoy it before its gone.

Also, my thoughts are with the family, friends and teammates of the Georgian luger, Nodar Kumaritashvili, a terrible tragedy.
