So I finished the first Twilight book today, I really couldn’t put it down. I don’t particularly like the writers style (or lack thereof) but I was engrossed in the story.
It is just that, a story – like Cinderella, Snow White and Dracula before it. I really don’t see what all the negative reactions to the novel were about. The book allows young girls to imagine “fairytale romance” with a tinge of danger and of course that is going to appeal to them, it appeals to me – an adult!
It makes me wonder if the people that tore it apart are the same people that stop their children from watching the Road Runner because its “too violent”?
So I went Ice Skating today! Had not been for YEARS and it was weird to be back on the ice!
This could have been a good picture but I only had my point and shoot and I could not get the focus right. In the end I had to settle for this as I was meant to be working and not playing with my camera!
5 Positives:
- Went ice skating.
- Finished the first Twilight book.
- Went to the Growers Market in Kits.
- Met a photographer and musician at work.
- Tomorrow is Friday!

This is a nice shot! I love the dark blue against the ice.
