Just another Monday. Its raining and cold outside and I am sick. It took me ages to come up with a photo but I saw this paperweight that my Aunt Betty gave me years ago and thought I might get something cool out of it.
The paperweight, entitled Moonflower, was designed by Colin Terris for Caithness Glass in Perth, Scotland. It was the first design in the abstract field produced buy Caithness Glass. It portrays in glass form the artists impression of an extra terrestrial plant form.
I think its cool that the building across the street is showing upside down in the glass, just like it would if it were on the moon.
5 Positives for today:
- Only 11 more days at work.
- Stewart fixed the shower
- Stewart brought me my lunch since I forgot it on the washing machine.
- Started a new book.
- I managed to take and post a photo even though I don’t feel well and was lacking inspiration.
The building in the background does add a very interesting element to the photo. Congrats on surviving the challenge on an off day.
Thank you for your advice and encouragement!
I love this one – but then I would wouldn’t I
Its a paperweight by Caithness glass in Scotland called Moonflower. The flower is mean to represent a extra terrestrial plant form. I loved how the building across the street is reflected upside down in the glass, as if the flower is looking down on earth
