Great Glen Way: Altsigh to Drumnadrochit, 11 miles.
Horrible horrible part of the way, all uphill with no noteworthy views. We went through the most run down eerie farms and walked for miles on hard road. For a good part of the way I thought I was in a horror film set in a rundown Southern American State.
We were so happy to arrive in Drumnadrochit and check into Loch Ness Backpackers, a lovely hostel where we felt right at home. This hostel has a great vibe and I would definitely recommend it to travellers. We set our feet up by the fire and got some rest.
5 positives for day 4:
- Woke up with a view of Loch Ness.
- Hiked 11 miles.
- Got to Drumnadrochit.
- Had yummy seafood chowder.
- Had a lovely hostel all to ourselves.
